Cheryl’s 30 Day Weight Loss Challenge- Day 13

This is HUGE. I am down 8lbs…it feels good…but more importantly, I am committed to not losing these same 8lbs again…this Christmas or next.

What a week. A 3 day planning session at work which meant long, full, mentally challenging days moreso than the norm.

Still, I maintained the commitment to the 30 day challenge and found myself up before the rooster put on his fruit of the looms.

What I found most telling about the change that is being made is that I was conscious of the fact that I wasn’t feeling tired in the sessions, not yawning, not wandering off due to fatigue etc. I was alert, fresh and truly engaged. I found myself also making the most conscious food choices with the food brought in and not succumbing to feeling sorry for myself because I couldn’t indulge like many of my co-workers were.

Actually, I found myself feeling sorry for some of them and feeling overjoyed for myself. It was during one of the afternoon coffee and cookie breaks that I realized the life altering-ness of this 30 day challenge…and likely the culmination of the life long obsession with my weight (please note that in my adult life I have weighed 135 lbs and been a size 7)…THIS WILL BE THEE LAST CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY THAT I FEEL AS THOUGH I AM LEFT OUT OF THE FOOD PART OF THE CELEBRATION.

Next year I will be able to partake with a different lens/approach simply because I have committed to daily renewal that goes well beyond these 30 days.

This is HUGE. I am down 8lbs…it feels good…but more importantly, I am committed to not losing these same 8lbs again…this Christmas or next.
