For 31 days, you will learn how to detoxify your body from sugar.
We will be following the Sugar Detox Book by Brooke Alpert. We have summarized the key points in the book, but feel free to invest in a copy of the book for yourself. It will give you a deeper understanding of the dangers of sugar. Get it here: The Sugar Detox
Since we are all at different stages in your health journey, I encourage you to choose the type of detox that you will do. Spend some time in prayer and seek the Lord as to the level of detoxing that He will have you do. You will want to choose a level that will challenge you, but not totally overwhelm you.
Choose one of the following levels:
Get your feet wet: You know how sugar is negatively affecting your entire body, but you're simply not ready to give it up yet. If this is you, you can participate in this challenge by eliminating one sugary food that you consume in excess. It may include chocolate, sugar in your coffee, sodas, donuts, ice cream or any other food that is a stronghold for you.
Waist deep: You truly want to get rid of the stronghold of sugar, but you feel that it's too big of a commitment right now to change your lifestyle so drastically. You are however ready to give up sugar in all processed foods but you will still have natural sugars in breads, cereals and fruits.
Full immersion: Participate in the full detox if you know that the Lord has led you to this time and date. You've wanted to do a full sugar detox for years or you've tried it before but have not been able to stick to it. You're ready to commit to the full 31-day sugar detox program as outlined in the book, The Sugar Detox by Brooke Alpert.
