Safety is a top priority for the retreat. The following is general safety information and not intended to be a comprehensive guide.
CORONAVIRUS
Updated March 8, 2020. Regarding the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak: The WLGW Retreat is proceeding as planned. The World Health Organization’s recommendation is that travelers practice usual precautions. Our retreat is several months away and we will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as necessary.
We encourage you to become familiar with the World Health Organization’s suggested safety precautions which include:
Washing your hands for 20 seconds and using alcohol based hand sanitizer;
When coughing and sneezing, cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue – discard tissue immediately into a closed bin;
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION
You will be asked for your emergency contact information during registration so we have the ability to contact someone on your behalf (if necessary) during the retreat.
While at the event, for all emergencies, contact Police, Fire, and EMS by dialing 9-1-1.
Additional information will be provided when you arrive at the retreat.
GENERAL SAFETY
Always exercise common sense and good judgment when traveling and attending events, Here are some ways to do that:
If you see someone acting suspicious or see something suspicious, say something. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
Know where you are.
Look out for others. If you become aware of someone who is ill or needs help, inform a member of venue staff or security, or contact police, fire, or medical personnel. In an emergency call 9-1-1.
