‘Snaccidents’ Happen

Have you ever made up your mind to eat only a few potato chips, or some other snack food, and the next thing you know, the entire bag’s gone?!

Been there, done that more than I care to remember.

So what’s the solution?

The answer is not so simple.

For some people, they will need to avoid potato chips altogether. One bite is too much and a thousand bites will never be enough–as the expression goes.

For others, the thought of never eating chips again will trigger a fear of deprivation which will send them into uncontrollable binge-eating.

The key is to understand YOUR body and YOUR  triggers.

Understand the type of emotional or stress-eater you are. And understand your faulty mindsets and beliefs that lead you to keep eating out of control and doing what you don’t want to do.

If ‘snaccidents’ are common occurrences in your life and contribute to your weight challenges, then it’s time to do something about it.

It’s not a matter of learning how to control your portions or learning how to say ‘no’; those are only band-aid solutions. The problem is a lot deeper than that.

Remember this sister, until you understand why you do what you do, or you will continue to repeat it.

Be blessed.

I had a snaccident myself and it was chips as well. I have taken ownership and I am holding myself accountable as I learn “why” to my actions. Thank you for sharing
