I encourage you to finish the last 100 days of this year stong while giving God all the glory!
Did you know that there are exactly 100 days left until the end of this year. Don’t feel badly, I didn’t know either but now that I do know I’ve made the decision to finish this year with a huge BANG! Will you join me?
Would you say you are healthier now than at the beginning of the year?
Did you accomplish your health and wellness goals?
Are you happy with your current level of health?
If you answered no to any of these questions then I invite you to join me for the next 100 days to ensure that you finish the year strong.
So, exactly how are you going to do this? As with every good success story, it all starts with setting your goals so here goes…
If you were highly organized at the beginning of the year then you wrote down your goals– I’ll give you a minute to go and dig them out. If not then lets gets started now on writing out your health and fitness goal for the next 100 days.
Step 1: Identify Your Top 2 fitness goals
Set goals that are specific, measurable and dead-line driven This process will be reinforced each day of time- focused goals for the challenge.
Be sure and state your goals in the affirmative. Here are some examples:
- I will lose 20 pounds in the next 100 days.
- I will increase my lean muscle mass by 10%
Step 2: Complete an Action Plan
You action plan will outline exactly how you’re going to achieve your goals. List 5 of them for each of your goals. Here are some examples:
- I will not eat after 8:00 pm.
- I will do aerobic exercise for 30 minutes 5 days per week
- I will perform weight training exercises 3 times per week.
- I will maintain food records
- I will replace my coke with water.
Set 3:Get Busy
Setting the goals are easy, the real work comes in carrying them out. I encourage you to spend some time and look at the ‘why’ around your goals. What is driving you. The why must be big enough and motivating enough to make you want to achieve success.
In my next post, I will share some of the ways that I keep myself motivated and inspired. (even when I don’t feel like it)
My friend Herbie has a little declaration that he says every time he is nearing the end of a race, ‘finish strong while praising God.’
I encourage you to finish the last 100 days of this year with the same pledge- ‘finish strong while praising God’. Let’s start today.
Please send me a message if you want to join the 100 day challenge with me. The more the merrier!
Yours in Faith and Fitness,
Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but [only] one receives the prize? So run [your race] that you may lay hold [of the prize] and make it yours.~1 Cor 9:24
