In our Weight Loss, God’s Way Program, it’s our practice at the end of every month to reflect on our month and renew our health goals and intentions for the coming month.
In Psalm 90:12 Moses prays:
“Teach us to number our days, that we might gain a heart of wisdom”
Like Moses, we must also recognize how quickly time passes if we’re not intentional about accomplishing what God has called us to do.
Building this habit into your monthly schedule will help you to move faster towards your health goals AND your life goals.
I encourage you to end your month reflecting on God’s goodness as you spend some time in prayer and fasting consecrating your coming month to God.
During your prayer and fasting time, ask yourself the following questions:
- What were your successes and challenges?
- What are you noticing about yourself? What old habits are creeping back in? What do you need to surrender to God?
